What is a crown?

The “crown” of your tooth is the part that sits above the gum line. When a tooth is damaged by cracks, breakage or excessive decay, or has undergone root canal treatment, we restore that tooth with an artificial crown, made of porcelain, ceramic or porcelain bonded to gold. As prosthodontists, we have extensive training in the production of the most authentic crowns that you will ever see – ours often outlast the typical dental crown by years and sometimes even decades.

How long does a dental crown take?

For most patients, a dental crown can be completed in just one visit thanks to our advanced same-day crown technology.

After preparing your tooth, we use digital scanning to design and create your custom crown right here in our office. This means no messy impressions, no temporary crown in most cases, and no waiting weeks for a dental lab.

By crafting your crown in-house, we have complete control over the process, allowing us to provide a precise fit, exceptional quality, and a faster, more convenient experience.

Our advanced technology allows us to treat even many complex cases in-house. In some situations, additional design or fabrication time may be needed to ensure the best possible result for your smile.
