Dr. Karine Plieva

Dr. Karine Plieva, is an experienced general dentist with advanced training in prosthodontics and orthodontics, and a strong commitment to continuing education.

She earned her dental degree from Moscow State Medical University in 1996. Following graduation, she was selected for a residency in Prosthodontics at the same institution, where she completed advanced specialty training and obtained certification in Prosthodontics in 1998. She also pursued additional postgraduate training while practicing dentistry in Russia.

After several years in private practice, Dr. Plieva relocated to Canada and successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) certification process in 2011, becoming licensed to practice dentistry in Canada and Ontario.

Dr. Plieva is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and Academy of General Dentistry, International Association for Orthodontics.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Plieva has completed advanced continuing education in orthodontics, including a mini-residency program, as well as extensive training in endodontics, clear aligner therapy, restorative dentistry, implantology, and comprehensive treatment planning. Her clinical focus is airway-centered orthodontics, with a particular interest in early orthodontic assessment and intervention for children to support healthy facial development, airway function, and long-term oral health.

In addition to airway-focused orthodontic treatment, Dr. Plieva’s professional interests include root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, and comprehensive restorative rehabilitation. She is dedicated to providing patient-centered care that combines functional, esthetic, and long-term health outcomes.
